Pace Week 5

This week's PACE activity was a relaxing one.

Students visit to our university and join us for PACE activity in our campus. We arrived at 1pm to enjoy the complimentary lunch provided by our school at Temptation. The food provided was decent with rice, vegetarian chicken and sauce. I had some talk with other groups of PACE and we talked and shared about our experiences throughout this activity. Learnt a lot from the conversations and it was really interesting to listen different experiences from different people.

After we finished our lunch, we are going to classroom to gather up with your mentee. This time X-space classroom was used. It is good because we are able to sit together in a group and it is much better and practical to interact with each others.

We were asked to fill in our comments for our mentees. My mentee was a shy boy so I would like to write some motivated words for him. I encouraged him to follow his dream and never give up to his studies despite he thinks that study is really a difficult task for him.

We started the class by playing a game. We were asked to build a tower with spaghetti. It was interesting because I never know that we are able to build up tower with a spaghetti which I used to eat in the restaurant. This game requires lots of creativity and imaginations. We figured out our own tower and the outcomes was quite promising.

One of the group was really impressive by thinking out of the box. They built really tall tower by hanging on the ceiling of the classroom. It is a bit unfair but I was really impressed with their creativity and efforts.

Next, we played hide and seek with the students. The classroom's environment was really good and joyful as everyone were really enjoyed the game. The game's duration was about 20 minutes and our university's student and high school students participated in this activity.

After the hide and seek session. We presented our feedback in the class to share with the class what our mentee has learned from us. Most of them were really appreciate our efforts and we are really proud to have them as our part of PACE memories. It was one of the most touching sessions in this course.

Closing ceremony was done after that. And it is the end of the day.
